Is it possible for a human being to be holy?

The word ‘Holy’ has, overtime, been used in some sense that has rendered it difficult for mankind to perceive and maintain its right usage. Mundane activities of men, such as their gatherings and congregations have been invested with the term ‘Holy’.

Worse still, earthmen have even appropriated the term ‘Holy’ and ‘Holiness’ and now attach it to their titles; similar to the way mankind choose and elect saints among themselves.

Holy and Holiness are attributes exclusively belonging to God Almighty. He alone is Holy!

Also, every direct gift of The Almighty could share in this attribute.

For instance, the Holy Spirit is Holy because it is the Executive Will and Justice of God Almighty. In other words, the Holy Spirit is nothing else other than the expression of the Will of God, which has manifested in bringing Creation into being, sustaining and maintaining it through regular renewal of the Power of the Holy Spirit and in the operations of the Laws of Creation.

Where also there is faithful preservation by man of the Word of Truth brought from a Truth Bringer sent by God, such Word of Truth then retains the Attribute ‘Holy Word’, and should be taken absolutely as it is, without any man-made addition or removal. Unfortunately, this has not been the case with so many past efforts of Messengers sent from Above; many of the Messages they brought have become adulterated with ideas of men; hence the confusion we have today among sects and denominations.

Aside from these situations highlighted, it is a form of blasphemy for human beings to attribute Holiness to their acts and ordinances. It is a seeking to drag The Almighty Creator down to the level of man on the one hand, and an arrogant seeking to compete with the Godhead, on the other hand.

Both are blasphemous and would bring spiritual harm to the perpetrators.

God alone is Holy; He is at an unapproachable distance even to the Divine Arch-Angels. God’s power and perfect Laws brought Creation into existence, and also man and all the creatures.
